Guerrilla marketing : an unconventional marketing strategy. To say unconventional is to say
South Banks, because everything these guys do are unconventional. They are making an unconventional and unique sound that is sure to make a big splash in the music world. Not only that, South Banks is on a mission to change the music industry as we know it.
The current music scene heavily relies on big record labels that, not only take a big chunk of the profit made from record sales, but also control the content. We see a lot of artists today churning out songs that have popular sounds, which means lots of record sales and lots of profit, but music itself as an art takes a huge hit. It is true that when you try to please everyone, you'll end up pleasing no one.
With South Banks the goal is different, to make music not for profit but for the sake of good music. The band spends their off time making CDs of their music on their own expense to give it out for free to whoever wants to listen. It's as simple as that. They just want to give you good music. And it is good.
